Car Servicing in Sunbury-on-Thames
A service is the single most effective thing you can do to keep a car reliable. At The Factory we service all makes and models — everyday hatchbacks, prestige saloons, vans, hybrids and full EVs — following the manufacturer’s schedule for your specific vehicle rather than a one-size checklist.
Every service is carried out by trained technicians on a proper ramp, with the right oils and fluids for your engine and the parts appropriate to the job. If we spot anything beyond the service, we show you and quote before any further work goes ahead.

What a proper service actually covers
Modern servicing is driven by the manufacturer: oil specification, filter changes, inspection items and fluid replacement intervals are set per engine and model. Some vehicles use condition-based servicing that calculates when work is due; others follow fixed time or mileage intervals.
We identify what your vehicle is due, carry out that work, and inspect the wear items that matter — brakes, tyres, suspension, steering, leaks, lights and fluid condition — so you know where the car stands.

FAQs
Car Servicing: your questions answered
How often should my car be serviced?
Intervals vary by manufacturer, engine and how the car is used. Many cars follow an annual or mileage-based schedule; others use condition-based servicing. Send us your registration and we’ll confirm what your vehicle is due.
What is included in a car service?
At minimum the work set by the manufacturer for that interval — typically oil and filter, scheduled filters and fluids — plus an inspection of brakes, tyres, suspension, steering, leaks and lights. Anything found is reported to you before further work.
Can you service my car if it is still under manufacturer warranty?
In the UK you can generally have a car serviced by an independent garage without affecting the manufacturer warranty, provided the work follows the manufacturer schedule and suitable parts and fluids are used. Check your warranty terms; we’re happy to talk it through.
Do you use genuine or OEM parts?
We use genuine manufacturer parts where appropriate and frequently fit OEM/OE-quality parts. If you have a preference, tell us and we’ll discuss the options.
Can you update my digital service history?
For BMW vehicles we can update the digital service history where applicable. For other makes we keep detailed records and stamp physical service books where applicable.
Can you collect my car for a service?
Yes. Free local collection and return is available by arrangement within approximately five miles of our Sunbury-on-Thames workshop — from home or work. Further afield? Just ask.
