ADAS Calibration in Sunbury-on-Thames

Advanced driver assistance systems — lane keeping, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise — rely on cameras and radar aimed precisely. When that aim changes, the systems may not behave as designed.

We carry out ADAS calibration where required following relevant work.

What is ADAS calibration?

Calibration resets the aim of sensors to the vehicle’s geometry using targets and diagnostic software. It may be required after alignment changes, suspension work, sensor replacement or windscreen replacement.

We don’t replace windscreens ourselves, but can calibrate camera systems where needed.

What we check

  • ADAS fault codes
  • Sensor mounting and condition
  • Wheel alignment as a prerequisite
  • Calibration status after work

What we can do

  • Camera calibration
  • Radar calibration where supported
  • Calibration after alignment or suspension work

How it works

The process

FAQs

ADAS Calibration: your questions answered

What is ADAS calibration?

Re-aiming driver assistance cameras and radar to the vehicle’s geometry so systems work as designed.

When does a vehicle need ADAS recalibration?

After sensor replacement, some alignment or suspension work, windscreen replacement or impact damage — requirements vary by manufacturer.

Can suspension or alignment work affect ADAS?

Yes. Changes to ride height or thrust angle can alter sensor aim.

Does a windscreen replacement sometimes require ADAS calibration?

Often, where a forward-facing camera is mounted to the windscreen. We calibrate; we don’t replace glass.

What happens if ADAS is not calibrated correctly?

Systems may give false warnings, fail to warn or switch off.
