Car Air Conditioning Service & Repair in Sunbury-on-Thames

If your air con is blowing warm, it’s usually low on refrigerant — which means there’s a leak — or a component has failed. We diagnose the fault rather than simply regassing and hoping.

We work with both R134a and R1234yf refrigerants, covering older and newer vehicles, and hybrid and EV systems.

Common signs

Symptoms worth checking

  • Air con blowing warm
  • Weak airflow
  • Musty smells
  • Noise when air con engages
  • Windows slow to demist

R134a and R1234yf

Older vehicles typically use R134a. Most newer vehicles use R1234yf, which has a lower environmental impact. The refrigerant type is usually shown on a label under the bonnet.

Systems lose refrigerant through leaks at seals, condensers and pipes. Hybrid and EV systems use electric compressors and specific oils.

Why can an air-conditioning system lose refrigerant?

Leaks at seals, pipes, the condenser or the compressor.

Can you diagnose air-conditioning faults as well as regas the system?
